VOMITING/NAUSEAUsually caused by a disorder in one or more of the following systems: Gastrointestinal system; Central nervous system; Metabolic/endocrine system. Vomiting is also associated with pregnancy, cancers (may be caused by obstruction by tumour or by chemotherapy). The main risk of vomiting, especially when persistent, is dehydration. Exercise caution in prolonged vomiting, projectile vomiting, haematemesis, the young, the elderly, people with diabetes.
