ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION (ED)Erectile dysfunction is defined as the inability to attain and maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse. ED may be psychogenic or organic. If the latter, it is often an indicator of atherosclerosis. ED is more common in men with diabetes, cardiovascular disease and hypertension. Drugs used to treat these conditions may also cause ED.
